General description
Fig. 1The KL‑1 is a general-purpose human processor configured for executive leadership, AI transformation and agentic delivery. It runs as system administrator of kai labs and is deployed as CPO and CTO at Adthena, where it authored the product and technology strategy and drives its delivery. Its largest single output is pin 6: the device is the author of kai, an agent orchestration platform - agents, visual orchestrations, schedules and an agentic harness - built and run in production. Two more outputs stay high alongside it: founder of several open source projects, and conference output on pin 17. Five pins high at once is not a fault condition; see 2.0 and 3.0.
On power-up the device attempts to detect the identity of the caller. Please remain calm.

| 7 | HAWK | OUT | HawkFlow.ai - monitoring with automatic predictive learning. |
| 8 | BOXES | OUT | boxes - a Gmail client for people who would rather not log into Gmail. Triage on one time axis, one keystroke per action. |
| 9 | CLAWDO | OUT | clawdo - Claude Code telemetry. Collects metrics, events and spans per user and charts them. |
| 10 | MARK | OUT | comoketab - bookmarks and reading list, Chrome. |
| 11 | HILITE | OUT | Word Highlighter - keeps a saved word list and marks every match on every page, so you stop running Ctrl+F. |
| 12 | GND | PWR | Common return. Tie to solid ground. |
| 13 | TABS | OUT | Open Tab Viewer - every open Workspace document in one searchable dashboard. Jump to a tab, or close the duplicates. |
| 14 | ZTC | OUT | zoom-tab-closer - shuts the tab when the meeting ends. |
| 15 | RTC | I/O | disapeer - WebRTC file transfer and realtime chat. |
| 16 | NLP | OUT | remdingo - reminders in plain English. |
| 17 | TALK | OUT | Conference output. Five appearances across four venues; see 6.0. |
| 18 | IRQ | IN | Interrupt request. Level-triggered by production incidents. |
| 19 | CLK | IN | System clock. Externally driven. See calendar. |
| 20 | SRC | OUT | Source available at github@felbus. Was NC through rev 3.x. |
| 21 | RST | IN | Reset. Requires a low pulse of seven to eight hours. |
| 22 | WWW | OUT | Rev 1.0 terminal - the original FLOS interface. Still runs. |
| 23 | TEST | IN | Factory test. . |
| 24 | VCC | PWR | Supply. Nominal +5 V, single rail. |
Rev 4.0 assigns pin 6 to KAI and connects pin 20, which rev 3.x carried as NC - not connected, reserved for future expansion, there is always one more. There was. TALK, IRQ and CLK each move down one, so rev 4.0 is not pin compatible with rev 3.x. Devices marked FL‑1 are the previous generation and remain supported; the prefix changed with the factory.
Functional block diagram
KL‑KAI‑06 · Fig. 3Fig. 3 - Functional block diagram, KL‑KAI‑06. Independent nodes run in parallel; detail A expands one of them.
- Nodes run in topological order; independent branches run at the same time.
- Every node is an agent - its own prompt, model, skills and MCP servers.
- The harness loops - call, dispatch tools, compact, repeat - inside a token budget.
- Runs start on demand, off a queue, or on a timezone-aware cron schedule.
- Each run streams events - tool calls, iterations, stop reasons, tokens, cost.
- Failures cascade rather than hang; a run can be cancelled mid-flight.

Errata
Rev 4.0.0 · open- E‑01
Display column 14, cell 1 is dead. Present since rev 0.1. Visible as ▦ throughout this document. Characterised, not fixed. No fix planned.
- E‑02
Identity detection may exceed the specified window. The device continues to ask who you are after the answer has been supplied. Remain calm.
- E‑03
Unprompted observability. Given any system, the device will propose instrumenting it. Assert RST (pin 21) to clear.
- E‑04
Strategy leakage. Any sufficiently long conversation converges on strategy. Working as intended.
- E‑05
Orchestration bias. Shown any task done twice by hand, the device will attempt to build an agent for it. Reproducible on every unit; see pin 6.
